How we started
Our story begins on the East African coast, in the cashew, sesame and sisal trade around Dar es Salaam. Buyers in Asia and the Middle East kept asking the same question: can you ship more, from a port with more sailings? South Africa answered it. Today our head office in Sandton runs contracts, finance and compliance, our Mikocheni branch stays close to East African growers, and almost everything we sell leaves Africa through Durban.

Trading begins in Tanzania: cashew from Mtwara, sesame from the south, sisal fibre from the estates and pulses from the highlands.

Company registration 2006/010581/07 gives the business a South African home and access to Durban, the region's busiest container port.
